This was yesterday, I wasn’t going to spray the rape myself as it was quite high and better using a high sprayer but as the weather is catchy I went out and did a bit and had some lovely views 🌧🌤🚜 ...
The post mortem on our reactor cows didn’t reveal any TB lesions so they are trying to grow it in a lab from tissue samples. Initially this is a positive result, but we will await the lab results.
We have been given our herd retest dates, which are -
Inject - Monday 28th June
Read - Thursday 2nd July
We will know the results on the 2nd, but if we go clear we have to wait to see if that is the only test we need, or whether we need a second test. If we don’t go clear then there will have to be another retest.
Thank you to so many of you who have sent us messages of support. It means so much to us to know that you are keeping your fingers crossed for us!
We will keep you posted. ...
Keep feeding them the brewer’s grains. There is a future. Can’t wait to get back to drinking raw milk again!
What a nightmare, we’re keeping our fingers crossed for you and can’t wait to get some milk again xx
Hope all is well for you x
good luck fingers crossed x
Patiently waiting for the all clear x
Good luck 🐄 🤞

What a week down on the farm, lots of positives, the biggest being that our ‘Tb’ cows were taken and found not to to have leisions on investigation, we are just waiting to hear if we need to get one clear Tb test or two.....
Lovely time of year crops look good, new life, we have been putting more grass seed in as the grass isn’t growing at the moment and to make sure we have enough winter food we planted more acres.
Maize has also been drilled this week for winter food, we have been trying to make grass grow with the water collected in our lagoon. If everyone can have a bbq bank holiday Monday that will make it rain please 😁 ...

Red sky in the morning, shepherd's warning!!! 🤷♀️
I thought today was in need of some happy news. This is an event I cannot miss each year. It is one of my favourite events.
The girls have gone out in the field this morning to enjoy a run around and a bit of grass. We put them out for around an hour and increase the amount of time each day until they only come in for milking twice a day. ...
Look so happy miss their milk so much xx
I’ve never seen cows with such clean bottoms! Had they had a bath? 😆
