School visits are of great importance to us, in the sense of informing and educating, and as a mixed farm, we can offer a wide range of activities, and our visits can be tailored to any age group and any ability. As a qualified secondary school teacher, Louisa Edgar is the lead in all our school visits, so you can be sure you are in good hands. We are CEVAS certified, with more information available on LEAF’s website.

Our tours aim to be both fun and informative, whether the focus is on food technology, geography, science or maths.
We are proud to be able to offer a brand new classroom area, with toilet facilities and a staff only kitchen area. Our classroom is a bright spacious room where the students can not only eat their lunch, but also learn through practical sessions, for example separating cream from the milk and turning it into butter or grinding wheat into flour to make pancakes. These simple activities are designed to educate the students on where their food comes from and the processes it goes through to become some of the staple foods we eat.

We also have a new, covered trailer, equipped with seat belts, which allows us to tour some of the arable areas of the farm.
